reflection experiment...advise please

here we have a lovely arctic white volvo 960/940....and below it we have a yellow-orange version. ok, so the car is screwed and looks a bit too ricey, but the whole reason i did this was to try out making my own backgrounds and reflections.

i dont use photoshop ( or any other decent program for that mater) so the reflection hasnt quite worked out (especially under the rear of the car)...but at least i could use a filter to hide the errors.

well enough talking , here it is:

oh yea...coments please( better still, suggestions and advice would be nice)

it seems as tho the reflection is bigger than the real car, to add more realism to the reflection side, try and airbrush in some undercarriage things like exhuast and fuel tank and shit.

the paint is way too oversaturated making it look blurry in some areas.

also, you would need to match the backround through the windows of the car, doesnt make much sense to see a grass backround when the rest is changed.

i do however love the backround.

i know the reflection is a bit blurry...it was some crappy filter i used so that it didnt look like the car was sitting on a mirror, but what exaclty is satuartion. when i reduce the saturation...it just goes lighter...ahh well ill give it a go.

well ill try and impliment your sugested improvements...hopefully it will be better.

in the hue/saturation slider thingy, you can adjust how much color is in an area of the car, the more saturation the more blurry the colors will get.
