Exclamation 1995 318is....oil on plugs

I changed my spark plugs just the other day and noticed that numbers 1 and 3 had oil soaked spark plugs. It appears that the 1 and 3 cylinders have a large amount of oil in them. The car started and runs just fine and dont smoke a lick. I went ahead and changed the plugs and the car doesnt run any worse or better, still starts and runs perfectly.

Wouldnt it be logical that if the cylinders were chucked full of oil that the plugs would foul out quick and the car would smoke alot from the tail pipe, not to mention that the car would sound awful when idling and drive horribly.
