95 transmission problem

hello all, yesterday i changed the automatic transmission filter and now im having shifting problems. vehicle will start fine in park. when i go to shift into reverse or drive (any gear for that matter) i have a bad hesitation and most times will kill the engine. i replaced the tranny fluid and when checked cold is a quart to high. when i check it hot the dip stick doesnt register fluid. what is going on? thanks for you help.

Re: 95 transmission problem

Welcome to the forum clarksm 74. The transmission fluid should be warm and the engine running in order to check the level. It sounds like you need to add more fluid.
