Sticking door window
Anyone ever have a problem with electric door window not wanting to go up or down? Was closing the window and it stopped by itself about 6" from the top. Tried going down....no go. Pushed down on the window slightly and the window went down. Sent it back up but stopped about half way this time. Pulled up on the window and pressed the button and it finished going up. My question is, am I looking at a tired motor or do the tracks or something need to be lubricated. This is a 98 2500.

Quote:
open the door panel. when it fails to move tap on the motor. could be bad. if you use the window often the motor could be shot. old rubber guides need silcone and cleaning. this will reduce friction/drag. wipe off excess silicone with a cloth. |

Re: Sticking door window
Had the same problem. Mine was a dead spot in the motor. Replaced the motor and that corrected it.
