2000 sel hesitates/lurches on acceleration at speed

Especially noticeable over 80 kmh when i accelerate it sort of lurches/shakes the car. I,m fairly sure its the transmission (fairly). Its about a one second thing. For instance if im cruising at 120kmh and start to climb a hill it will hiccup for one second then fine until i need to hit the accelerator then does it again.?

A little hard to explain but any ideas?

As a test.....just temporary.
Remove the and plug the hose that goes to the EGR valve.
Take the van for a drive, does it still have the issue?
If not, then you likely need to clean the EGR ports in the lower intake manifold or replace the DPFE.
If you still have the problem, it is NOT caused by the EGR system.

Reconnect the vaccum hose to the EGR valve.

This test will most likely cause the Check Engine Light (CEL) to come on with a code that indicates too little EGR flow.......which is caused by the vaccum line being disconnected, preventing the EGR valve from opening.

It is just a test to check EGR off the list.
I like easy and CHEAP solutions....and it is a test to help narrow down the possible causes of your problem.
