blend door motor
heater doesnt work no matters what you put it on it is ice cold ...dealer said its the blend door motor and it will cost around 900.00 to fix . does anyone know how to get it out so it can be replaced ...i find the part for 60.00. Its a 2005 grand marquis with only 50,000 miles and the heater has been out for about a year

I believe you just have to remove the glove box door to access the blend door. I am not sure though. Even if you have to pull the dashboard off of the firewall (I am 99% sure this is not necessary), save yourself $800+ and do it yourself.
