03 caravan sport over heating/no heat after puddle

Does anyone know what a "sailboat light symbol" on the dash means. 03 dodge caravan sport it's over heating and no heat. my daughter went thru a good size puddle yesterday. wondering if a fuse or relay blew
any help would be appreciated

Remove the radiator cap and make sure the radiator is full. Make sure the coolant in the coolant bottle is within the marks. Make sure the serpentine drive belt is in place. They regularly come off driving through puddles. The radiator cooling fans may not be turning on. Turn on the A/C and they should turn on in seconds. Turn the A/C off then let the van idle and heat up. Fans should come back on within 10 minutes. If the fans are good you may need a new thermostat. Sailboat???

Thanks for the help. It ended up being a rubber hose under the right side under passenger front flont floor that went to the rear heat. was sliced by ice when she went thru a large puddle with chunks of ice'

oh ya that so called looking Saiboat light turned out to be the overheating light.

Don't be too hard on her. I just looked in the Owners Manual (Page 5) and the overheating symbol DOES look kinda like a single masted sailboat.

It's supposed to look like a thermometer dipped in water, but it does look like a sailboat
