2001 coolant leak

wifes van just started lossing coolant, can see underneath put cant see where its coming from . possibilites? thanks

what engine

drive it up on car ramps to look.

which side of engine is leak, front-- back??

need more info.

Check radiator hose, water pump.

just checked fluid down just a little but there is some foaming action going on. and i can smell coolant inside slightly but no wet spots.im scared this is not good

Most likely not caused by the head gasket.....1995 model year had issues with the head gasket, all other years are MUCH more reliable in that regard.
They made changes that seem to have corrected the problem.

On the right (passenger) side, several hoses, front cover (aka timing cover) gasket, cross over tube and water pump are possible causes.
Also, lower intake manifold gaskets can leak like this.
Of course, ALL these things are not bad (just typing the list makes me nervous)......only 1 is going to be causing the leak.
It can be quite difficult for the pro's to determine what is leaking.....much less us DIY folks.
