out side temp sender

I have had the outside temp. replaced twice and it still is acting up, not accurate or dosen't work at all, anyone else experianced this?

had a similar occurance on a gm pick-up.

for most newer gm ambient temp sensors; they will not update under certain criteria instead displaying the last reading untill the update occurs.

not sure of the location on this model but on the trucks they are located by the rad and installation of bra's, grilles etc. that change air flow near the sensor can skew readings. relocation may be an option if this is the case.

does the temp reading display no reading at all ie. slashes " ---"???
