12V accessory, always "hot"

2006 Toyota Avalon:

I would like to make the 12V outlets hot all the time.

I've done this on several other cars. Sometimes this is a relay that is tied to the ignition, but looking at the Avalon schematics, it looks like several other things are tied to the cigarette lighter relay. So, that's out.

At this point, its probably just cutting the wire to it and finding an always hot wire, fusing it and taking that to the cig lighter(s).

Anyone done this? Do you know the wire colors that go directly to the cigaretter lighter? have you removed the console?

looking for any advice.

Most are connected to the ODB II DLC 12volt bat pin 16.

In order to provide an 'always hot' ability to an ignition setting requires extensive rewiring. Another option is a direct/fused line directly connected to the fuse box in a new setting.

There's probably a sprare Hot Batt fuse in the fuse box under the hood that you can use.

How many cigar outlets are in this car?
One of them might be a hot 12volt dc.
