'01 monte carlo 3.4 intake leak again

160,000 miles now. I replaced the intake gaskets at 60.000 and 120,000. This time it appears that it is worse than the previous times(loosing coolant faster). Both times I replaced with the conventional gasket kit. Is the higher dollar gasket kit worth the money. Am i doing something wrong. Everything was torqued to specs. No overheating until the typical loss of coolant the other day. Almost considering eliminating the gasket kit and going with an RTV gasket maker. Too cold to ride the motorcycle, too broke to buy a new car.

Re: '01 monte carlo 3.4 intake leak again

Well, I purchased the new improved intake gasket kit from GM. It comes with new bolts. The counter guy cut me a break and I got it for $66. Its all back together now and three oil changes later I'm ready to see how long this one lasts.
