08 Malibu Headlight problems

Rat chewed through a wire so I remade the connection. But the problem still exists. When headlights on dim both lights come on but the driver side only shows a low light. When on bright the driver side does not work at all. Checked relays under hood and they are good. Stille need to check relays in trunk.

Re: 08 Malibu Headlight problems

Look on the ground side of the system. A dim light means it has a weak ground, the one that doesn't work at all probably doesn't have a ground at all.

Re: 08 Malibu Headlight problems

It the same headlight. When on dim it barely shows but when you switch to bright, it doesnt work at all. But the ground sounds like an easy fix, I'll try it.
