Angry 1997 Blazer 4 wheel will not disengage

I have a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer. I has a 3 button switch on it. I can switch from 4hi to 4low not problem. But when I hit 2 wheel I hear clicking noises coming from the front passenger side and it will not go into 2 wheel drive. Once in awhile it will go back into 2 wheel drive. I read online that I should replace the actuator. i was wondering if that is the first thing i should replace. Any help would be grateful.

Check things out before trowing parts at it.
I would check for where the clicking is coming from first.
there is no electric actuator but a diafram that pull a cabel to front axel to engage it.
Cable or diafram may not be releasing good.
have a look at it and see about it.
This link may help.
