Question 2003 Eclipse OBD 2 Code

A couple days ago my check engine light came on, so I went into autozone and got it checked, but they didn't seem very helpful, they were confused and gave me multiple answers. The code is P0544, I know from research that this is Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit (Bank 1), but I don't know what needs to be replaced/fixed? If you know what I need to replace/fix any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

EGR temp sensor, clean it or get new one.
