time for tires.

its that time again, the magical time when i realize i can't drive around with three slipped belts, awful feathering and a bead about to be exposed like girls gone wild. time for new tires. i'd like all season since i live in new england and theres really only two seasons here, the cold season and the chilly season.
being the poorest college student in the world, i'm looking in the $40 region. i've got the sawblade crx si wheels so the size is 185-60-14. i've narrowed it down to 2 tires, the sumitomo srixon4 ($37) and the kumho ecsta hp4 716 ($33). does/has anybody owned or driven these? got any other tire nominations you think are better for the $.
i've also got to do brakes. whats the pad of choice? what about rear shoes? are there aftermarket shoes and are they worth getting? i've got warped rotors up front; i think this is a common problem as its happened on both of my 4th gens, but never on my 3rd gen. tirerack.com has brembo stock rotors, no drilling or slotting, for $41 each. how much do OEM rotors run? are the brembos worth it? are they less likely to warp in the future?

thanks for your help guys,
graham

I just picked up 4 Goodyear Allegra's today. 155/80/13. Candian tire was having a sale so it only came out to 296$ (canadian) for all 4 including balancing & taxes (I saved about $80 bucks).

My old tires were worn to shit so I'm glad I finally got some new ones.

Anyhow the tires look good and the ride is a little smoother now. They are good for 120,000kms. I think it was like 47.99 each tire.

The motormaster SE tires are the same price as the allegra's this week with the sale.

hey can you guys do print outs and shit?

I went there a few weeks ago and the guy had like this massive parts list for my car in the computer. It would be great to get a print out of that shit with the price etc.

I have goodyear 175/70-13s Integrity's on my stock wheels, and theyr'e good tires.. it is actually a pretty soft rubber compound, so if you're not careful you can eat through a 30000 mile tire in 7000 miles like I did. Now I take it easy. But yeah, for stock size, they're nice, good ride, good grip, etc...
