Gas Tank level question

I have a new 2010 model. I filled up a few times now when the guage got close to empty and it only takes 12-13 gallons. It's a 21 gallon tank. Next I let run until the guage was on E filled up and it took 15 gallons. I also noticed that the level drops from full to 3/4 in the first 50 miles. Is this "normal" for this van or do I have an issue with a float or sending unit?

Re: Gas Tank level question

I think it's common for most newer Honda's to have a gauge that isn't so accurate. Honda Service news put some thing out a while back because people were complaining the gas light is coming on too early, usually with 4 gallons left.

Re: Gas Tank level question

I just got an 04 Ody and as soon as the gas light came on, I filled it up. It only took 15 gallons, which suprised me since it has a 20 gallon tank. I'm a bit hesitant to keep driving it too long once the light comes on though.
