looking for VIN numbers

can anyone tell me where the Chassis VIN number is located?

there is a plate on the side of the door, a plate behind the windsheild, but I was not able to find anything on the chassis....

I need this to register the car in france...

yes, this one I know off, but they are looking for something stamped on the car... not on a plate on the car...
