01 Grand Cherokee O2 sensor and fuel mileage
i have an 01 with the 4.7 V8, 2 wheel drive. I have an air intake with high flow K&N, throttle body spacer, and high flow cat. If i track my speed and keep the truck between 55-60 mph, i'm only getting about 275 miles to a tank. With 107,400 miles, would i gain anything by changing all of the oxygen sensors? Also, any other recommendations to gain gas mileage? I already have new plugs (what is the best plug to use?), tire pressures and alignment checked, etc. TIA

Re: 01 Grand Cherokee O2 sensor and fuel mileage
changing all 4 oxygen sensors will give you slightly better fuel mileage. I can't give you an exact estimate but I've seen some vehicles gain as much as 2 mpg with new sensors. A good all around plug that you can put in your truck is a Bosch Platinum Plus plug Part # 4030. Autozone sells it for $2.99/plug and it works pretty well. The best is E3 plugs, but there are $10 a plug.
