Got some questions, but first I have to explain everything *lol*
I was going to buy a 91 integra off of a friend because it had a b18 in it. Figured I could build on the engine when the money was there. But just the other day, another friend had his civic totalled, someone hydroplaned through a stop sign and completly killed his car, not to mention dinged him up pretty good. He said he would go in halfs with me if he could keep the body, and I would get the engine and tranny. Ok, now with that out of the way, currently I have a 98 civic, unfrotionatly it's an automatic I wanted to get that changed over and was curious if a 91 tegra tranny would bolt on, I know I can throw the engine in, but I haven't found much info on transmissions. Second question. The guy who is getting the tegra body wanted to throw a civic D16 in it. I've never heard of it being done so I'm not sure if it's possible. I assume so considering you can throw a b18 in a civic. I don't know why he wants to do that, I can't figure it out but if you have any technical advice it would be much appreciated. |

A 91 integra tranny is cable, yours is hydraulic.
Why would anybody want to put a D series in a integra??? Thats about as stupid as it gets. |

to be honest I think it's a money issue for him. He has his civic engine, and I'm gonna pull the engine from the integra so he's gonna put the two together. But yes, I agree...why?

I've never heard of a mount kit to put a D series in a 90-up integra. The 86-89 1G integra had a D16, but I don't think those mounts will work since it's a completely different body style.
