I'd take it to a professional and get it checked out. How does the car idle. If it idles good then you may have a problem with your axel shafts, tires and maybe even transmission. Good luck to you. I need more info to help you any futher, like how does idle, condition of tires, condition of front end? Let us know.

Way to be helpful.

I need more info to really help you.

When you accelerate does it feel like something is preventing the car to move forward or does it feel more the engine doesn't have the power to move the car forward?

How does the car idle?

Does this only happen when you accellerate?

Do you hear any noises?

It could be a number of things, but I must also ask why you bought the car with the knowlege that it had this problem?

If its an automatic tranny, I am gonna guess possibly the torque converter going out? Or perhaps all motor mounts are severely shot?

My guess would be plugs and/or wires. I find that replacing old plugs or wires fixes many drivability problems on the Neon.
