Wierd 'clunk' noise from Mazda Tribute

Hey Guys,
I have a 2003 Mazda Tribute 3.0L V6 with about 117K miles and I've been hearing a wierd noise lately. I'm noticing this 'clunk' noise that seems to occur when I accelerate from stopped. I think it's coming from the rear, but I'm not 100% sure. This doesn't happen every time though, it's almost hard to judge when it will happen. It seems that it usually happens with a slightly hard acceleration from being stopped--not a very hard acceleration and not very smooth. I tried to record the sound, but it's too hard to pick up (too much ambient noise like wind). Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Try checking the universal joints on the drive shaft ASAP, you don't want to drop a drive shaft.

if coming from front? i would check moter and tranny mounts. otherwise as he said check u/joints.

I'm not sure what is going on with it, it seems to be getting worse I'm bringing it to a mechanic asap

Took it to a mechanic... turns out it's the motor mount... $325 for the parts and $100 for labor :/
