Angry Hold light on my 95 millenia

My 95 mazda millenia it has 126,710 miles on it have several problems I need help with. The first is that when I ride it in for a long time or even a short amount of time the hold light starts to flash what does that mean?..

My battery also goes dead if i leave the battery fuse in my car while it is sitting for a long time. so in order for the battery not to go dead i have to take the fuse out of the car. i took it to the dealership and they cant figure out what is wrong with it. and if to many things are running at the same time like if my headlights are on and my heat is on and my windshield wipers are running it will cut off on me... some times it cuts off on me while sitting in traffic during the day with nuffin on but it will cut right back on..

Then also i can be driving it and it will act like it is going to cut off on me and jerk and stuff like its not getting fuel... can somebody please help me or is it just time for another car.. thanks

The hold light is (I think) for the overdrive hold. Do you notice that the car suddenly lurches when the hold light is flashing - as if it's downshifted?

If not, that could just be a loose switch (the one on the shifter). You may want to jiggle it and/or switch it on and off to see if it's sticking.

The battery thing could just be a bad battery. Did the dealership test the battery voltage and the charging capacity?

My mom has the same problem with her Hold button on her '95 Millenia. Neither of us know what the deal is.

the HOLD button is located below the Tranmission changer stick... I agree, i think it loose somewhere. Put your handbrake, put gear all the way down. And unscrew it off....maybe you find something loose.

As for the battery thing...maybe your alternator is bad. Since it keep draining your battery every now and then.

Re: Hold light on my 95 millenia

Well.. i had that problem.. turned out i needed a new tranny (got mine rebuilt for near 1700... dang expensive for me, considering im in school right now with only a part time job).... but in my case, it was the shift solenoids were bad.. and the trnsmission was just in bad shape (from previous owners)... But i was browsing and i found this.. http://www.automotivehelper.com/topic285463.htm

Good luck to all you!!!
