New cd player now no dash lights

need some help ive never had this problem before i just installed a new cd player in my wifes car and now i dont have any dash lights or any other illumination, i checked all the fuses on the left side and the instrument panel fuse on the right side and still nothing, im old school and dont know a whole lot about newer cars any ideas?

Its a 99 everything was working fine before and im pretty sure i didnt hook anything up wrong the bulb for the shifter lighting looks fine but just doesnt light up so i assume i didnt fry the bulbs

I doubt you fried the bulbs, Just make sure all the fises are good. Double check them.

Then you may want to go back in the dash and unplug the radio to see if you have dash lights just in case its shorting out the illumination circuit.

I'm betting a blown fuse.
