transmission problem?
im wondering if anyone can help me out here. about a month ago my car started doing something weird. i would be driving and right around second gear it would lag for about 2-3 seconds before it would shift into second. it stopped after i put some fuel injector cleaner and premium gas in (because i thought that might be the problem). i was pretty happy when it stopped. now it's doing it again, worse. anyone have any idea what this is?

Man I have the same problem. I know you don't want to hear this but I really think that it's the tranny not the fuel or the clutch. Now does it sound like it's grinding or slipping? Is it hard to shift into gears sometimes?
The problems that you are saying thats what happen to me about 3 weeks ago and I thought that maby it was fuel or clutch by yesterday it gave up and I towed it the a transmission shop. And they said it was the tranny. I know the guys there because my friend works there so wouldn't pull a fast one on my. How many miles to you have on the car and are you the only owner?

It doesn't grind at all. It used to do that sometimes, but it was just low on tranny fluid. It has never done that since I got my tranny fluid flushed and refilled. It just lags going into second. The car has 107k miles on it and I'm the second owner.
And I have an automatic by the way...

You mean that it only lags in second not in 3,4,5? What happens when you down shift? Never mind I just read that's it;s an auto. So I don;t think that I can help you sorry. Good luck!

tranny fluid is low
or u need to replace the filter or youve neutral dropped it too much and your tranny is fucked, but like in this old chevy i have, when i put it into drive, the tranny take a few seconds to shift into drive, and its been like that for 50k, but then again its a chevy, like a rock yeah. but ive been driving that chevy for long time and nothing has happened yet

i neutral dropped it a few times when i first had the car. then i realized how stupid that was. but i haven't done that in forever. would it start messing up 15k miles later?
