94 Sable no dash lights or tail lights

I have a 94 Sable with no dash lights or tail lights. The head lights and break lights work ok. There is power to the dimmer switch and when you turn it all the way to where it clicks, the interior lights come on.

Any ideas on why the dash lights and the tail lights would go out at the same time?

I'm not sure how your car is wired, but they could both share a fuse or a relay. Have you checked them yet? Make sure you check the fuse/relay panel under your hood as well as the one below the dash.

I found the main headlight switch was bad.

Good find, boomboom. Was it hard to change out?

The switch was easy to change. Just pop out the left corner of the dash and it comes right out. I found mine had shorted out. The prongs were all discolored and the plug was melted in the middle. I put a new switch in and everything worked great.
