we rolled off the red light slowly and punched it at the same time. we were head to head until i dumped it to 2nd gear and then i pulled away by a car length.. i think by third he gave up.. i pulled his pants down and spanked him..MUAHAHAHA:sun:

The newer SHO's are not fast at all, believe it or not, the 90 version is actually kinda quick but not fast enough to beat a Max.

true the earlier SHO `s 89 i think when it first came out to early 90`s were quicker but still no threat to the max. nice kill

i got another story.. last night i was lined up with a Jetta VR6 and a Toyota 4Runner at a red light and we took off. the Jetta was driven by a girl.. i think she was punching it but she was no match at the jump the jetta fell right behind. however, the 4Runner got the jump on me and got a half car length in front of me and there was no way i could gain on him until third gear.. but damn that heavy ass truck with a 6 banger had some power. i did have my bro in the passanger and my friend who is pushing 2 and a quarter in the back seat..

that sucks, everyone has an off race once in a while. i'm surprised you pulled so quick on the vr6 though. could you tell if it was Auto?

Actually im not surprised he gave you a run. 4runners are pretty powerful, but their main attraction is the amount of torque they have.

its heavy but i can pull its weight! trucks like that however, are not a threat past 60 MPH. they dont have much in the way of top end speed

that makes sense because when i got up to 3rd gear i was like Buh-bye.. a little too late though..i wanted them both in my rearwiew mirror at the launch.

What is actually a fast little car is the Jetta with the 1.8T engine. That thing screams off the line.

only the new ones though, cuz they started putting the audi A4 1.8's in them. my friend has a 99 or 2000 1.8T jetta with only 150 hp. it got beat by my other friends 00 LS integra. both were 5 speed.
