Fast turn signal syndrome
The left turn signal intermittenly will blink rapidly when I'm at a red light. But a few blocks later it will be normal when I flick the stalk to turn left. Also the orange bulb behind the lens will be out, then will be lit when the signal is working
I'm thinking its simply needs a new turn signal bulb. But this problem often comes and goes. I've had the light socket replaced a few years ago. This is a safety issue as oncoming traffic need to see my left turn signal! Any ideas? Is there a short somewhere? help/ideas appreciated! 97 Regal LS 189kms |

Re: Fast turn signal syndrome
I had this on mine just last night. I checked the bulb and it was ok, put in a new one and still did not work. Took all of the connections a part, sprayed with electrical cleaner, put it all back together and it is still working. It has only been a day but did seem to help so far.

Re: Fast turn signal syndrome
Clean connections + bulb sockets with CRC electrical cleaner, and use dielectric grease for connectors and bulbs during replacement.

Re: Fast turn signal syndrome
A lot of the bulb sockets that were made for these cars aren't the best fit for the bulb. I read on another site to bend the connections on the bulb away from the plastic center to ensure a good contact. Mine were arcing across from the space in between which was burning the bulb and socket.
