...here is my fujimi honda integra type r kit i did awhile back. I took it out of storage today and started working on it right away . The engine I started building it the first week of december . It's the J32a2 swap from 2001-2003 acura CL type S . here are some pics of the car as it sat from the storage............i had planned to put a swap in along time ago but was not up to the challenge..... so only hood was opened and radiator in place......
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .... here I took it apart.... I have the new wheels sitting there, the j series swap , and some resin racing seats.... you will see some changes overall on the car.. interior , exterior , especially the engine bay.... ![]() ![]() ![]() will post pics of engine build in a few..............

*** the J32A2 swap build......... my first scratchbuilt motor (block) bare with me.........
1. started with building the block out of styrene 0.30 sheet.. did my little measurement from revell b series swap to get enuff clearence with tranny and engine bay . 2. I supported the inside of the block with square tubing styrene ,glue and plastic weld TENAX 7R - here is a break down of parts i used in the making of this motor *styrene 0.30 sheet for engine block with square tubing styrene for inner support * revell civic si - oil pan , alternator , pulley w/ belt , headers need 2 , tranny (wish i had a kseries would look aloooot better) *some chevy impala cylinder heads, cut to 3 cylinders *random slim V8 chrome valve cover i had laying around, cut in half to shorten, then used 0.30 styrene sheet to complete the j series valve cover * V8 intake manifold to fill in space between heads ,slimmed to fit *audio AMP , chrome, to make j series intake manifold rounded out *used revell civic si distributer and round tube scrap to make throttle body *styrene sheet to add detail to top of manifold *scrap piece to make oil filter *timing cover scrap built from styrene sheet......... ![]() -- close up of inner supoort ![]() --- heads put on block, test fit tranny ,and intake manifold (just an amp there)... ![]() --- valve covers placed on....cut ,sized, styrened............. notice size compared with revells b series motor..... ![]() --- intake manifold with correct shape....lots of rounding out to do.... distributor from revell civic si as throttle body with scrap tube piece to finish it of....... placed styrene sheet on top of the intake manifold to simulate actual intake manifold...... ![]() --- intake manifold primered........ look at my reference pic in background ![]() --- all primered..... ![]() --- intake manifold painted silver and tranny ![]() --- timing cover scratched built........ ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------- thats it for now on the j series..... still need little things for it....... LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK OF THIS J SERIES MOTOR.... first time doing an engine build like this......

-- put in some work today... started building up the engine bay . HERE ARE SOME PARTS I USED OR SCRATCHED built :
- firewall from revell integra --- i turned it the other way for RHD look, cut the fuel filter and flipped that.... - had batteries from some lowrider kit, 3 batteries together cut 1 for the integra - scratch built the fuse box styrene 0.30 sheet multiple layers - scratch built the clutch master cylinder using the dowel pins from the wheels, and styrene scrap - the rest styrene sheet 0.30 - also made but not pictured, the top of the radiator support - painted flat black ![]() ![]() ** i couldnt decide on color for valve covers, so i finally ,after searching, found someone who painted there real valve covers red, i liked the way they looked so , they are flat red now.....also flat blacked the timing cover....left a little white box to imitate a sticker label... STILL NOT DONE WITH ENGINE DETAIL ![]() *** made a slim lip addition to the stock wing and carbon kevlared it...... ![]() ![]() .................................................. .................................................. .

--- worked on the interior today
** here is the dashboard and center console ~ i added detail to the climate control, in dash navi , new cluster from INITIAL D SUBARU (looked very similar to itr cluster , time clock , "hazard button" , "defrost button" , NARDI wood style steering wheel ... ~ center console , i added red stitching to the shift boot, and armrest , on armrest i added an "type R plaque" , painted shifter silver... ![]() ** decided to make a " 5 panel mirror" to replace the stock rear view mirror... its all made from a flat, rectangular strip of styrene , all cut, filed, and sanded up..... ![]() ** here it is with some paint ..... i will try to attempt to paint "sticker style" things on the backing , due to the fact i dont know how to make my own decal yet... ![]() ** here i added the red carpet , with FUZZI FUR , i also fuzzi fured the rear cargo cover , and door panel inserts in a dark greyish color....... added red stitching to the rear seats, and pedals glued to the firewall section..... ![]() ** i glued dash in-place... "what time is it?" lol ..... ![]() **glued center console in place..... ![]() ** these last pics are just of me test fitting the chassis with the new engine bay, checking for clearence......just needed a little shave here and there ![]() ![]() ![]() .................................................. .................................................. .

Re: * FUJIMI honda integra type R - J32a2 swap!!! (rebuild)
.... the seats needed some work....so here it goes
** flat blacked both seats ** cut the carbon sheets to design i needed ![]() ** here the carbon is fully done and clear coated.....also decided to rumage thru some decals to put on the back of the 5 panel mirror... ![]() ** here one seat is done with fuzzi fur black .... ![]() ** backside.... ![]() ** seats are glued in place..... ![]() ** 5 panel mirror glued on.... ![]() ** with the idea in mind to make this mirror, i totally forgot it was going in a rhd car, so mirrors are facing the opposite way....OOPS! ![]() --------------------------------------------------------------------- ** here is 2 shots of the engine -got the coil over plug on the valve covers done -motor mounts in place -brake and clutch cyclinder detailed -exhuast manifolds on ![]() ![]() >>>> Have very minor work left to be 100% complete with this model...
