Hello

Was wondering what the problem is . I have no clock display and no radio display of stations, yet the seek and scan work and all other buttons. The radio plays, just no display. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

display bulb burnt out. There is a writeup somewhere on the forums on replacement. try a search. I will see if I can turn it up too.

Lightbulb Re: 1996 Grand Prix no radio display

thanks for the info and I did find the info in a past thread. My question will the radio come back on if un-plugged? or will it have to be re set because of the anti-theft feature thanks

Re: 1996 Grand Prix no radio display

If the amber LED on the face of the radio by the words "theft lock" is not illuminated, then that feature is not enabled and the radio can be removed with no risk of locking. If it is illuminated, then the previous owner enabled it and you'll need the code to unlock the radio after replacing the bulb. The theft lock feature is disabled from the factory, and has to be enabled by the owner to function.
