A/C on?????????
I just picked up a 1997 Ram 1500 5.9, Its real cold outside ( low 30's ) I wanted to see if the A/C worked, I turned it on but the comp. did not come on, could this be because its so cold outside?

Nope, the compressor should come on and cycle.
It's supposed to come on and cycle whenever the control is set on Defrost too to keep the compressor oil working throughout the system and help keep the seals in shape.
