2006 dodge stratus

i have 2006 dodge stratus sxt,wanted to know how to part out cigerette lighter and put new one in. the one that is in has bad socket, every time you plug something in it makes contact and it doesn't. can you pull it thru or have tear out some dash panels.

when you plug in a gps or other devices it has to much play in the lighter socket it won't make a solid contact . i think socket is bad.
