99 cv p71..lights flicker update.

alternator is good.. battery is good... checked all grounds, cleaned post.
alt is charging 14.8/15 volts. does not dip. charges higher with a/c on.
Now I turn lights on and they flicker but alt does not dip.
With lights on and turn signal on the battery needle in the dash does
bob a little up&down.It does the same on my volt/ohn meter.
I did notice my panel dim switch above the headlight switch has no effect
on the dash lights (does not dim dash lights).

Has anyone had this problem? I do. all help is welcome.thanks

yep, I use an oscilloscope to see what the waveform looks like from the alternator. Significant ripples will cause your exact problem

Yep..It was the alternator. must have been in the voltage regulator side.
Put the new one on and no problems now.
Got It off ebay from a place called crank-n-charge.Good price & free shipping.
Also no core charge.
