96 regal custom door stuck.

i have a 96 Buick regal custom 3.1 and the locks for both the passenger and driver side doors work very hard when manually locking or unlocking them. the key itself will not move the button all the way up or down i have tried both graphite dry lubricant and WD-40 in the locks and it did not help my problem. and now. both doors will not open from the outside AT ALL. i have to keep a window lowered when im not in my car so that if i want to enter it i can open it from the inside.. which works on both sides.

i was wondering if anyone knows what exactly the problem is or where it is and how i can fix it.. of if i cant do it myself and go to a shop what i need to tell them so that they can fix it. at one point my drivers side exterior handle broke and i replaced it and put it on myself after reading instructions in my manual. and for a time my door worked.. about 2 months. then the same problem returned. i have adjusted the rod just inside the plastic housing on the inside of the door where you can access the handles pulleys all the way to as tight as i can make it.. essentially my door should not even latch like that. but it still will not open.

i am not wondering if it could be connected to my electronic lock somehow and if it is.. can it be completely bypassed so i just would not have to mess with it anymore.. after all i would rather not be able to lock my car than just not be able to get into it at all.
