2000 EXT electrical prob?

My EXT has a prob with the radio and the windshield wipers not working all the time. At first I thaught it was a fuse but then they started working again. now there back to not working and when they do work if you hit the wipers it shuts them both off and then they wont work again for a couple days. A friend thinks it may be the ignition switch. does that sound like a good place to start?

probably a realy or a circit breaker depending on what it has start simple
