Car shuts off with turn signals

I have a problem with 01 intrigue. When I turn on a turn signal the car shuts off. It does not have any of the dashboard lights on, so can't check it with the scanner. What could be causing this problem?

i did a google search and i found a 2000 pontiac thread that had a similar problem that resulted in replacing the ignition switch. Check that topic out and see if your symptoms match up.

If the symptoms match up, i would definitely consider getting the ignition switch checked out as it commonly causes problems in the intrigue. There's a number of ignition switch topics for the intrigue on this forum. Might want to also eliminate some of the other things that guy checked out in his testing process.
