cougar help

my friend drives a 94 xr7. he wants to add a shift kit to his tranny, where could he buy one or get one made/put in? also what else could he add to give the cougar a lil boost, thx

Check out the tranny tech articles, specifically the first 3.
Read any post you see in the drivetrain forum about the J-Mod.
Dont do any other shift kit. DO THE J-MOD, install an extra tranny cooler while you're in there. Ask anyone with more than 50 posts on tccoa and they'll laugh if you say B&M or transgo shift kit.

HI I recently bought a 95' cougar xr7 with 129k miles
I keep getting check engine light on. I have changed my PFR sensor and the mechanic suggested that some throttle body or something needs to be cleaned.
I need to know how much generally does it costs to get it cleaned.
Your help will be appreciated.
