Cruise control not working

I have a 2006 Equinox, the cruise just quit working. I've check the break & cruise fuse. All the break lights are working. I checked the fuse in the harness from the steering wheel to the ECM module. I've replaced the right steering wheel control module. I've also checked both the brake light switch and the cruise switch on the brake pedal. They both seem to be working. I also checked for broken wires between the left and right steering wheel modules and the right steering wheel module and the connector at the end of the harness before it goes to the engine compartment. What else to check?? Besides replaceing the ecm module. Or did i miss something?

Re: Cruise control not working

Should be scanned to get into bcm and pcm to get bi-directional info for a proper diagnosis.

+1^^

Especially if your Service Engine Soon or Service Vehicle Soon light is on.

I couldn't find any notable TSBs that address cruise control issues. If you are careful you can try to disconnect/reconnect wiring harnesses in relevant places to see if a bad connection might be to blame. The first that come to mind are the PCM connections, but I doubt those are questionable. The Cam-Lock connectors used on the Equinox are quite good at isolating the circuits from the elements. They are tricky to disconnect/reconnect if you've never dealt with them before. I'd also check for blown fuses in the underhood fuse block if you haven't already done so.

Re: Cruise control not working

I have no Check Engine lights on and tried dissconnecting the PCM connector. I did check all mentoned fuse's for the cruise and brakes. I also found a fuse taped to one of the cruise harness's it was good also. May just have to have it scanned.
