Rims & Tires

I'm looking for rims & tires, tire size is the normal 245/45/17, what are the best sites for rims & tires? Any package deal sites or should i go seperate places? I've checked tire rack not much on there that interest me. I've looked at tires, kind of seem most tires for our cars do not get very good wear ratings. I suppose its due to weight and need of traction? I'm looking for an all around good tire & good traction, i'm aware there might be some sacrifice needed in one area or another. The rims I'd like are black or blk & chrome lip, or something kind of flashy for appeal. any input would be great & expierence with tires also.

Thanks

Re: Rims & Tires

I normally look around for what wheels & tires I like and then order them through Discount Tire Direct. Free shipping and they can pretty much get anything.

However, if you're interested in some 5Zigen FN01R-Cs I'm selling mine. They are 17x9, 35mm offset, and weigh only 17/5 pounds. They are pretty much perfect and they are gloss black with a polished lip and HUB. The tires are Falken Azeni 615s 255/40. Both have less than 2,000 miles on them. I'm looking for $1,200 shipped.

Let me know if you're interested. If not, just find what you want and call a rep at Discount Tire Direct and I'm sure they can hook you up.

Re: Rims & Tires

I sent it to [email protected]. Perhaps it got caught by Google's spam filter? Well, I'll just post them here.

Re: Rims & Tires

Can't really go wrong with Bridgestone.
I really like Yokohama as well.

I think http://www.tirerack.com and http://www.discounttiredirect.com are two good places to start for price comparison.

Someone else can hopefully chip in on what specific tire models they like - I'd just say go for a slick! but that's silly.

Re: Rims & Tires

Hey guys back again for this topic, why do our cars seem difficult when it comes to picking rims & tires haha?

These are my likes but i don't know if they will fit with offset and all...... currently factory rims 17" chrome, with 245/45/17 tires

Motegi Racing MR 118- 18x8 lugs 5x100/112/114.3/120 w/ 225/40/18 tires?
Motegi Racing MR 125- same info except lugs 5x114.3
Enkei EDR 9 - 18x7.5 lugs 5x100/114.3
TSW Trackstar 5 -
Tenzo Cuzco Machine- 18x8 lugs 5x100/114.3/112
Enkei Fujin (top choice)- 18x8 lugs 5x100/112/114.3

will any of these properly fit without any modifications & also if I lower the vehicle will I run into problems. 225/40/18 are these the only size tire to put on to fit right if I upgrade the size of the rims ???
