what was the deal with the colt 351? was it ever a production car, or simply an aftermarket 5.8 litre?

I have no idea what a Colt 351 is, just that the first 351W or 351C to be installed into the Ford Mustang was in 1969.

Well Dodge made a Colt, but I doubt it had a 351 though.

Now another thought, Colt is another word for horse, or pony, like Mustang or ponycar. Maybe the person who's car you saw was nicknamed "Colt" and had a 351 motor in it. Just a thought?
