murphy's law

doesnt it always seem like when you have something important to do your car does stupid s**t?!?!?!? well i was on my way to get a bite to eat durring my lunch break on this wonderful rainy day here in ct and my radio shuts off.....so im messing with it trying to get it to work and then my headlights fade out. i tried to use my wipers and they crawled to a stop midway up my winshield....but the car was still running! and i think if i can just get back to work it will be ok. well dont ya know there is construction going on and im now stuck in traffic with the alty giving out and the battery about to die. and just when i started to move it went. lucky for me there were construction workers near by and i got to play the damzle in distress. then my dumbass didnt think to bring a jacket cause im supposed to be inside all day and wouldnt need it. well i had to walk all over in the rain in a tee-shirt and one place didnt do altys and another didnt do hondas so i head to advanced auto to see how much this will hurt and im supprised that it will only cost an arm and i get to keep my leg so i went a little farther down the road using my chevrolegs and found some guys to install it for me. so after about 2 hrs in the rain i got back into my car and drove off about $160 lighter.

I've had Tripple A like insurance

$1 a week and they can tow ur car, bring you gas, or whatever you need. Has come in very handy a couple times. I went down this road that turned into a dead end and Instead of doing a 3 point turn i decided to whip around my back end, little did i know it was sugar sand, i didn't make it all the way around, i hit a very small dip and bottomed out...

$160 for a new alternator and installation sounds about right.
$100 for the alternator, and $60 for the installation.
Flunky
PS-Yes, you probably got the wet t-shirt discount.
PPS-Usually you get some warning when an alternator is going out...
