theftlock question

I read through previous post and found no answer to this question. My vehicle had the same little security light problem as everyone elses. The only thing is that mine started after the door latch broke. I didn't feel like fixing it because it only affected my power lock for the driver door. It certainly doesn't have to be powered since Im sitting right beside it when driving. It would randomly keep the car from starting and I did the same old waiting 10 minutes with the key on. Ok, well after a couple years I finally decided to replace the door latch and figured that would probably make my security issue go away. After replacing the door latch, my security light is on at all times when running. It didn't do that before, it was only an issue sometimes, now it's all the time. My question is, Does that mean the system is disabled with the light on all the time? I disconnected the battery to see if it just needed resetting and didn't change a thing. Light is still on. If the light is constanly, will it still cause problems with starting randomly?
