Will 90-93 integra front suspension work on a 89 civic dx ??

I have a friend that gave me front + rear suspension from his 90 -93 integra I know for sure that the rear suspension fit's but im not sure if the FRONT suspension will fit ,

A lot of people told me it will fit a lot told me it wont becuase of bumpsteer or never being able to get the camber correct ? I just want someone who has done it and know what they are talking about to set the record straight for me .

The front suspension came off of a integra gs automatic I allready took off the abs sensors, My question is
1.) will the front kuckles work with my dx axles or not because the hubs are off an automatic integra and
2.) will the calipers work evin thought that are off an integra with abs and my civic dosent have abs so will i need nonabs intega calipers or is there no difference
3.) What Will I have to do to get the alighment rite on the integra knuckles some ppl told me to use civic upper and lower controle arms and civic tie rods and just adj the ie rods and the alighment will be perfict is this correct i would really appreciate the feedback i want to start working and putting new parts on this suspension but i want to make sure it will all work

PS: PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO USE 90-91 CIVIC EX KUCKLES , I HAVE LOOKED HIGH AND DRY THERE PRETTY MUCH NON-EXISTANT
NOWADAYS

Thanks
Mitch

hi mitch, my name is mitch too.

anways, the integra knuckles wont work, well they will work, but your alignment will be off and im not sure if there is a way to fix it. The brakes will work, IF YOU GET EX knuckles. I just bought a 91 integra for a parts car, and im not gonna be able to use the 10.2" brakes because i dont have EX knuckles.

If you got the EX knuckles, why use the integra brake/rotors?

I have the entire Ex setup on my Si, and it works fine. I dont understand the need to use the Integra parts.

Also, 90-93 Integra Upper control arms work good for camber control. I have them on my car with my 15's, and camber is about -1 degree.

I can get a complete Ex front brake setup.....What's it worth to ya?
Maybe, just maybe I might be convinced into going to get it.

No camber kit, just the Integra upper control arm with ball joint.

They're slightly larger (duh), which sets the camber with the 15" wheels at about -1 degree. Not sure if it works with larger wheels, but I would have to guess not as well.

As far as it goes, I saw a HUGE improvement in handling and tire wear. During the summer, I love to slam my car, and with these, the road doesnt yank my car side to side as hard when there are grooves.

I definitely recommend this swap, cost me all of $10. Also, if you dont like it, you can always go back to stock.

Problems with the upper control arm?

My alignment was off slightly, but my mechanic just adjusted the tie rods and everything was fine.

ALL D WAY....BOOOOY!

hahaha

Usually I roll with about 1/2" wheel space, so that tires dont rub fender well. But my mechanic is slightly lower and he's had no problems either.

If it's the same guy I have been e-mailing back and forth I think Mike had a bent knuckle as on the right side the caster was off by allot, and the right ride wheel was much closer to the wheel well than the left. I probably spent 2 hours writing up e-mails to him… finally got some info out of him that pointed to bent steering components that may be his problem… Never heard back from him.

Suggested he go by and get a FREE, FREE, FREE alignment check to see what the story is but I have not heard back from him with the results. It would not only let him know if the knuckle was bent, but it would HELP OTHERS here on this board would are trying to do the same thing to CONFIRM once and for all IF Integra parts can be swapped over” successfully”. I’d surely do so.

(PS: Successfully means the car can be ALIGNED, not just the parts bolting on)

* * * *

Since I haven’t heard from 91EF3ZC / Mike, I’ll post here in the hopes of spurring him to go get his alignment checked.

Hey 91EF3ZC / Mike are you out there?

Your profile says you are a “First Class Certified mobile electronics installer/technician” and are interested in T-MAXX, RC touring car racing, SCCA AUTO CROSS RACING…

As such I’m sure you can see the value of having you alignment settings posted. Only takes an hour or so to get an alignment done.

They do have alignment places in Long Island, New York? Last time I checked New York had cars, running water, electricity and indoor plumbing so surely there must be some alignment shops up there.

PS: Just did a search for 91ZC3EF …says Invalid User specified….. Try 91EF3ZC instead.
