different ABS issues
I have read all the ABS issues in this Forum, I am experiencing a completely different issue than every one else described...
I have a 2000 silverado 2500 LT extended cab 4x4, I have an issue with the brake light and ABS light both being on when the key is inserted and motor running, I have had to remove the fuse from the electrical panel under the hood due to the ABS actuator continously actuating, it does it whether the truck is running or not and with the key in or out of the ignition (only does with fuse installed), has anyone experienced this issue, i had to remove the fuse to stop the abs from actuating (running the battery down when parked), the brakes are functioning properly other than they lock up if you have to hit them hard. So who has ideas?

you will need to replace this module or find a web site that repairs these for a fee much less than new.. removing the fuse is good..this will protect the abs motor pump from damage. many have had this problem very common...... |

Re: different ABS issues
Does anyone have information on how to perfrom the repair of the relay on the ABS module, I am a certified electrician and Maintenance technician and i should be able to figure out on my own, however i would like to have any research information possible to determine if i want to atttempt this since this is such an expensive part for the vehicle.
