fujimi aftermarket wheels

I recieved 2 sets of fujimi aftermarket wheels for my silvia today. they are not like I thought they would be. they have large bo-bo tires (not low-profile) and the rims look like they are 14's. I was hoping for a nice large rim and low-pro tire like tamiyas. So what is the problem? is there a solution to my wheel problem besides making some frankenstein wheels (I HATE having to do sex changes on my wheels LOL)

not true at all
fujimi has very good rims for sale, not ALL of them are as good as other but they do have nice ones, like the Kranze Shokis, and Versus EU line.
look around the board anfd you will find out which ones are good, and which ones are....well....... not.

Aoshima's RG's are way way better...

I think Tamiya should start to make some aftermarket rims any time now!

well, you guys say rims like the Kranze Shokis, and Versus EU line are good but does that mean they come with low-profile tires and larger size rims 17" and up? or do they still look like bo-bo stock 13' rims with tires that have more sidewall than elvis got sideburns?

now the aoshima one's I will check out. they are a direct fit I take it? and where do you guys suggest I look for them? if you say HLJ can you recommend a way to search for them because I haven't had much luck

Yep - had to learn that the hard way. With that said - some of their wheels are alright - think its a good idea to get the others opinion before buying.

There are a hand full of Fujimi rims which are good. I just wish they would state the size of the wheel. I think they take the wheels from the kits to make more money by selling them as 'extras'

I recently acquired the Blitz Techno Speed Z1's and I was full of hope with my perceptions of the wheels after seeing the box art. Obviously, I was disappointed when they arrived. Turned out they were around 15" and with oversized tyres - NOT GOOD!

I agree that Aoshima rims are better, but sometimes, they do not have the 'right design' I'm looking for.

Bought Pegasus wheels ant tires then Hoppin'Hydro's a few weeks later... way better, a "Tamiya standard" but bigger and less rubbers.

All 18 inch and up are good. 17 and smaller depends on when it's made, and you'd better ask for a review or comment before you buy.

Sorry, I live very far from you so I can't help you on where to find it but all I can say... I have 4 sets of those and none are weak... look awesome on those 20' with very life like tires with tuners treads. Worth the money even if they are a little pricy.

You are just a tad late buddy.
I recently had a set of hoppin hydros wheels for sale in the for sale thread but nobody wanted them so i butchered them up used them as sleeves over 18" rims to make them 20"

towerhobbies should be able to ship the wheels to you for a decent price, check with them.

Go to the browse by company section, select Aoshima, select Auto Accessories and there you go.
