Question hotshot CAI

yea i was thinking of replacing my popcharger for a hotshot CAI. but they say i need a smaller battery. About a month ago i remember someone ordering this intake system and saying you dont need a new battery. does anybody know if i need a new battery. any help would be appreciated

Nope, but you might need to move the battery slightly over

It depends on the battery, I've seen it both ways. With a stock Nissan battery and a red topped Optima I havn't had any fitment issues. It was definitly a much tighter fit with the Nissan battery, but i was able to make it work. It also kinda depends how exactly you cut out the hole for the CAI.

nope, you definately dont need to change the battery, heres a pic. but like BruinG20 says, just move it along a bit, there is a little give in the battery tray. Hell, i even fitted a new battery recently (as pictured), and it was much wider and still had no problems with it.
