Re: 03 Ford Windstar SE frozen compressor...Is there an easy fix?
You may be able to use a shorter belt, skipping the A/C compressor. However, the path must be clear and have some spare clearance.

On not 100% sure on this particular vehicle, but I know for a fact that on the Ford Taurus with the 3.0 l engine that there is an a/c compressor bypass pulley for this exact purpose. Without buying one, I can assure you that you can just a shorter belt and make it work. The difficulty will be in figuring out just how short of a belt you need. It'll probably not be located in any manuals. Good luck, Mark |

Are you saying there is no coolant? If so, this must be attended to before any thing else. Do not run the engine without coolant.
