Rear brake line
I'm working on a 2002 Voyager 2.4l with rear drums. I'm doing a complete brake job. When removing the brake line from the passenger side wheel cylinder, the hose must have been terribly corroded so as I turned the nut, the metal hose tore away. So now I need to replace this hose. The metal portion connects to a rubber portion. It looks like it is all 1 piece until a connection where it goes thru the frame after that. Two questions:
1. Is it correct that I need to replace the metal and rubber hose as one unit?
2. There are 2 clips that hold the hose in place. One is easily removed. The other looks like it's part of the axle plate that holds the leaf spring. Must I remove the axle plate to get the hose off? I have the car supported by jack stands on the rear axle so there is pressure on the springs, I think.
Please help.
