Toggle Switch

Okay, well I just got a toggle switch and im still confused about how to hook it up. The one that I got has the three prongs, Supply volts, On Accessory, and the Earth Ground. Now the neon lights that I have, have a box on the wire, and i'm guessing that its the fuse box, but i dont know if I should cut before it or after it. Any information (detailed) would be greatly appreciated and is there any special type of wire that i should use to wire it up? Thanks

I dont know how your NEON's are supposed to be wired but mine have 3 leads too, one for the earth which I wired to an earthing point on the chassis, one goes between the switch and the NEON controller, the other from the controller straight to the battery terminal.

i think that box your talking about is liek a voltage regulator either putting out more volts, or stepping it down, or amps i should say. put the switch before that black box

I'll tell ya what ya need to do-I got the same toggle switch. The wire with the box on it-cut it after the box, put that to "on accessory" Run a wire for power (connected to battery i guess) and put that to "supply volts", then the earth ground can just go to-well, i think you can figure where that goes, and also connect the other wire comming from ur lights (the negative wire) to the earthground on the switch. And that should do it.

connector were made for a reason, plus if he adds lights later in life, he wont have to change the wire again.
