88 z24 rwd conversion

hey -
i'll admit i'm a noobi so if my question seem excrusiatingly stupid please excuse them. anyways- i'm rollin in a completely stock '88 z24 (2.8 v6 - auto - not a whole to work with i guess) i was wanting to do a rwd conversion and drop a bigger engine in. is the rwd conversion possible and how big can i go with the limited space in the engine? if it's possible what would be the best vehicle to pull the drive train axles etc. off? i'm trying to get the maximum ponies with having to break down and get a new ride, and i'd like to gear as much towards accelleration from a stand still as possible. thanks guys i really apreciate the help.

as far as your concerned, get a new car, the rwd conversion for a cavy is expensive to say the least, not to mention very dificult, this is not a newbie option unless you've got 10 grand or more to just throw away, and for that amount i'd get a nice used camaro z28.

Ya if the idea was to not have to get a new car because it would cost too much, this wouldn't be another option. It would actually be cheaper just to get another car in most cases, like an older camaro or firebird.
