05 T/C EGR Help
My van has an almost unnoticeable hesitation that causes a lunging on acceleration. I notice it most on cool or cold mornings or evenings. It will eventually go away once the van is warm. The CEL has come on and gone off twice over the last few months and gave an EGR code originally. I want to figure out if I can just pull off the EGR valve and clean it and if so if anyone has any tips or good links with instructions. Thanks for the help.

Re: 05 T/C EGR Help
Ht155:
You should be getting a CE light and attendant code for EGR if this is the issue. The valve itself is not that expensive, and was a known issue on the 04-05 vans. Ours was replaced around 42k on the wife's 05. The code at the time was P0406. I would just replace it and go on. The valve itself can be bad, or the sensor that tells the system if it is working can also croak. You have to replace the assembly to fix either issue. Don
